Friday, June 6, 2025 10 Sivan 5785

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM100 Raoul Wallenberg Place, SW; Washington, DC 20024-2126.

Bet Mishpachah has organized a visit to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.  We will visit Americans and the Holocaust, a portrait of American society that shows how the Depression, isolationism, xenophobia, racism, and antisemitism shaped the U.S. response to Nazism and the Holocaust. It reveals how much information was available to Americans at the time and asks why rescuing Jews did not become a priority, except for a few individuals who took the risk to help.  Those who wish to remain will be able to tour the self-guided permanent exhibition, The Holocaust, which offers a chronological narrative of the Holocaust through historical artifacts, photographs, and film footage.
